Frequently Asked Questions

Where will Bedford Field Notes be held?

The series will be hosted at Historical Hall, 608 Old Post Road, Bedford, NY (map). Historical Hall was built in 1806. Moved to its present site in 1837 by twenty yoke of oxen, Historical Hall was the impetus for the founding of the Bedford Historical Society. In 1916, a group of citizens purchased the building to preserve it and prevent it from being turned into a tenement. It has been improved and maintained by the Society ever since.

When are the events?

The Bedford Field Notes series debuts across three evening events—wildlife (April 24), water (May 21), and land (June 11). All events will run from 6:00-8:00pm. The format will include an opening fireside chat with “CBS Sunday Morning” correspondent David Pogue, followed by an expert panel discussion and lots of audience Q&A. Bring your questions!

Where can I park?

Street parking is available in Bedford Village. Additional parking spaces will be available across the street behind St. Patrick’s Church, 7 Pound Ridge Rd, Bedford, NY (map). Please exercise caution when crossing Old Post Road and Pound Ridge Road.

What if I have special parking needs?

For individuals with mobility issues, a small number of parking spaces is available next to Historical Hall. Please contact us in advance for special arrangements by reaching out to info@bedfordhistoricalsociety.org or calling (914) 234-9751.

Will there be refreshments?
